That is wild! I hope you are better equipped to teach them than I was! When my younger daughter moved out from a house she’d shared with EIGHT other girls sophomore year of college, one of the other moms took charge, and there was no satisfying her. We all–the nine girls and the other moms–were ready to scream. But they did get their full deposit back–almost unheard of in their student-housing ghetto!

(Hopefully the people moving in to the places we vacated didn’t feel the need to because I also cleaned them before we left.) We’ve also seen our kids into various university digs, some were better than others but hopefully they can all manage to clean ok.

She asked me to help her move in, but we have no idea of its condition as her friend is setting up the rental. I don’t think I can bring my “Maria” although I did give a day with my cleaning gal to my son when he got his first home after graduation not far from where we live.

My 19-year-old daughter and her prospective roommate will be picking up the keys to their new, non-dorm apartment this coming Monday. The place is clean, but neither of them have any idea how to keep it that way. Since the roommate’s parents live in Korea, I suspect the burden of teaching them will be falling on me!
