Glad you liked it. I agree that our current system is a disaster. Obamacare is far from perfect, but it helps a lot. You voice a fear that goes to the heart of why 2016 will be so important–the presidential and congressional races (not to mention how the victor will determine the make-up of the Supreme Court for another generation or two).

I wish we had national health care; our current system is a disaster. We have insurance through my husband’s job, but our deductible is $6000 a year. I pay $90 in co-pay every month at the oncologist’s office that count towards nothing, and my monthly treatments are $1700 (insurance pays only part of it). And what happens if the Act gets repealed by the next administration? What happens to everyone?

Thanks, Teri–glad I could assist in filling you in. Did you know that America’s system of employment-based health insurance comes from post WWII frenzy to attract workers? It was something added to sweeten the pot, making the company that offered the best coverage more attractive. That rationale is long gone, but we are stuck with a system that no longer makes sense.
