In reply to dyannedillon. Yeah, the Challenge has helped me be more intentional, too. I thought about having a theme, but then decided against it, and am glad of that. And how lovely it is to be responding to your kind posts instead of readying my X and Z posts (the concept is there, but the execution is not). Better get cracking so I'm not up until 11:59 tonight! Glad we found each other too!

I write blog posts whenever the spirit moves me. The A to Z Challenge has actually made me have to plan :) Last year (my first year), I had no theme, and some days, it was torture to come up with something. At least once, I finally got my post done at 11:59 p.m. Having a theme this year, while I bucked the thought initially as out of character, did make it easier. I’m glad you did the Challenge this year, and I’m glad I found your blog.

I’m so impressed that you’ve committed to this challenge, Lorrie, and you’re doing such a great job. I knew about Mark Trautwein’s essay, but didn’t know he had to write it in six hours. Wow! I, too, tend to spend a lot of time agonizing over a piece and have never been a fast writer. Sometimes I need to let a story idea simmer for a while before starting it, but I’d like to be more productive.
