<\/a>My writer\u2019s group, the Write On Mamas<\/a>, has an anthology coming out in late April: Mama\u2019s Write: 29 Tales of Truth, Wit, and Grit<\/em>. (It would make a great Mother\u2019s Day gift, by the way, and I would say this even if I didn\u2019t have an essay in it.) As part of our anthology\u2019s kick-off, we\u2019re participating in the A to Z Blog Challenge<\/a>, where more than 2000 bloggers post every day except Sundays for 26 days, until they have run through the alphabet, letter by letter. Our group is U<\/strong> is for \u201cUnder-commit<\/em>, over-achieve,\u201d my favorite bit of writing (and life!) advice from writer and teacher Leslie Keenan<\/a>. Another favorite is from Joyce Maynard<\/a>: \u201cPretend every word you use costs $5.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/li>\n W<\/strong> is for Walking<\/em>, a crucial step in writing!
